GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – There is a demand to nurses and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay is hosting an open house on Tuesday.

This is to help students learn more about nursing careers.

In Wisconsin and across the country, one of the health care industry’s greatest challenges is a shortage of registered nurses.

Students will be able to learn about many things including where employers may help pay for schooling.

The college says the need for replacements of retiring workers and new openings mean that approximately one million nurses will be needed to meet the nation’s demand for nurses by 2022.

All the open houses run from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

These are the locations for the open house:

NWTC-Shawano- NWTC Educational Center at ThedaCare Medical Center Shawano, 100 Highway B, Shawano, Wisconsin. NWTC is located on the second floor of the hospital.

NWTC- Marinette- 1601 University Drive, Marinette WI

NWTC- Green Bay- 2740 W Mason Street, Green Bay WI – Entrance 1 (Health Sciences Building)
